Fire Escape is Jonny Stephens.
Jonny was previously with
PERENNIAL DIVIDE and then
MEAT BEAT MANIFESTO.
He co-produced MBM's albums
99% and Satyricon. He was
also involved, to a lesser degree,
with Subliminal Sandwich.

Jonny left MBM soon after
Subliminal Sandwich and began
work on his solo project, Fire
Escape. The debut album was
officially released in 1998 to
critical acclaim.

With Abandon Head he wrote
incredible "pop songs" that had an
MBM feel - circa Satyricon - but
were a step away from MBM's
more industrial/ebm sound
towards a more chilled out lounge
aesthetic.

Jonny has remixed such artists as
Coil, Orbital and David Bowie.
